As the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Investment Officer of the firm, Brian provides overall strategic direction and leadership to the firmís investment management, wealth management, and operations groups. Additionally, he serves as the Chair of the Executive Committee, the governance entity charged with setting the firmís long-term strategic course, as well as the Investment Committee, and is responsible governance issues and for setting the firmís strategic investment outlook for individual and institutional client portfolios.

Over the past two decades, Brian has served in a variety of senior investment and operational leadership roles throughout the asset management industry. Prior to joining Sand Hill Global Advisors, Brian served as the Co-Chief Investment Officer of Stafford Capital Management, where he actively managed funds for a client base comprising high net worth individuals, family offices and institutional investors. Prior to this, he spent ten years with RCM Capital Management, a dominant West Coast institutional investment firm now known as Allianz Global Investors. In his capacity as one of the firmís Co-Chief Investment Officers and Senior Portfolio Managers, he managed a multi-billion dollar product and was responsible for all aspects of portfolio management, analytics, marketing, client service and management that accompanied the role. He began his investment career as a member of RCMís fundamental research equity analytics group.

Brian has been active on a variety of boards throughout his career including the Childrenís Health Council, The American Lung Association, and a privately held mutual fund company. He is a member of the Woodside School Foundation in addition to a member of the Mid-Peninsula Advisory Board for Presidio Bank.

Brian earned his BS and MS in Finance from the University of Wisconsin, where he was a select participant in the Applied Securities Analysis Program. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and is a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of San Francisco.

Terry has been practicing law with the firm since 1979. His Palo Alto-based business transaction practice includes forming, structuring and advising various business entities including corporations, limited liability companies, partnerships and joint ventures in a multitude of matters. Terry is also a member of the Board of Directors of Achievekids, a nonprofit organization serving families with children with complex emotional and developmental disabilities, and serves on the Board's management committee.

Hal is the former CEO, Director, and Co-Founder of Borel Private Bank & Trust Company, which started in 1980. In 2001 after 30 years, Borel Private Bank & Trust Company became a wholly-owned subsidiary of Boston Private Financial Holdings and subsequently in 2011 merged completely to become Boston Private Bank & Trust Company. Hal has been a pillar of the local community and continues to lend his vast experience. As a multi-generational resident of San Mateo, he is past director and president of the San Mateo Chamber of Commerce, Merchants Association, Historical Association, and St. Johnís Cemetery. He has been past director of the Mental Health Association of San Mateo County, Hillsborough Beautification Foundation, and San Mateo Arboretum Society. He currently serves on the City of San Mateo Investment Advisory Committee.

Ronnie began his investment experience in 1984 as an early investor with Crosspoint Venture Partners. He extended it throughout the Sand Hill Road venture capital community as well as to an extensive network of manager contacts within the greater financial services community at large, including the leveraged buyouts and hedge fund sectors. He was a Managing Director of Business Development at Capital Dynamics and then a Founding Partner at HRJ Capital in 1999. He was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2000 after playing 14 seasons in the NFL and enjoyed one of the most celebrated careers of any defensive back in NFL history. Ronnie also is a member of Young President's Organization.

Al is co-founder and President & CEO of Pacific Urban Residential, a subsidiary of Marcus and Millichap Company.  His early career began with the accounting firm of KPMG, San Francisco, and the subsequent founding of CMR Search in 1983.  Prior to Pacific, Al spent 14 years in several senior positions for multifamily pension fund advisor SSR Realty Advisors (now BlackRock), culminating in the position of Managing Director, National Acquisitions.  Clients included CalPERS, CalSTRS, the Alaska Permanent Fund, City and County of San Francisco, and several others.  Since 1986, Al has been an investment advisor and principal in the acquisition of apartment communities totaling more than 30,000 units and $60 billion dollars.  He has been instrumental in the development of an apartment value fund and is a director of the National Multihousing Council and a member of ULI.

Ben has the leading market share of exclusive listing assignments in excess of 6 mil SF as well as exclusive corporate tenant clients in occupancy of over 1 mil SF. Over the last decade, Ben has averaged 6th out of over 300 brokers and has numerous company awards in leadership and sending out multimarket transactions. He is also managing partner of multiple commercial property investments.
